Microsoft Partner Pledge
As one of Microsoft's partners, we share their vision of technology and that technology can play a crucial role in addressing broader challenges in society. We have therefore signed their partner pledge.
Microsoft Partner Pledge is an initiative to bring together Danish and Icelandic technology companies to solve five key challenges for society:
Digital competencies
Diversity
Responsible and ethical AI
Sustainability
Cyber security
We are already deeply committed to solve all of the above five key challenges, but digital skills, sustainability and cybersecurity in particular, are areas that harmonize 1:1 with our values and the way we work.
By signing this promise, we support Microsoft's global vision to enable every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more.
As one of the key players on the Danish tech scene, we are committed to promoting green and inclusive digital transformation for the benefit of all. We do this i.a. by developing sustainable solutions and services in collaboration with our customers, preferably solutions that bring learning and accessibility available to users.
In everything we do, we are committed to promoting sustainability and reducing our CO2 footprint. We are also very dedicated to making it as easy as possible for our customers to protect their data against the GDPR and combat the high threat posed by cyber security and cyber espionage.
We believe that together by utilizing our tools, expertise and network, we can make a big difference in Denmark and on Iceland.

UN Global Compact
At cVation, we support the UN Global Compact, the world's largest corporate social responsibility initiative.
The Global Compact is a set of guidelines on how companies can contribute to solving the social and environmental challenges that come with globalization. With the accession to the UN Global Compact, cVation has committed to adapting our work and strategies to ten principles in the areas of human rights, workers' rights, the environment and anti-corruption.

CSR principles we have introduced in our business
Internally, cVation focuses on minimizing environmental impact in our business and activities. Thus, we seek to avoid harming the environment whenever possible e.g. in relation to our operation of the office and transport etc.
Actions implemented:
Waste sorting - including cans, bottles, cardboard, metal, batteries, etc.
Minimizing print and paper consumption
Cold water taps with and without bubbles to minimize can and bottle consumption
Company bike initiatives to reduce CO2 emissions
Organic coffee from a small local supplier with a focus on sustainability
Office ventilation runs on natural hydropower cooled from the harbor water
Energy saving lighting system with on/off motion sensors
